at last, the beach
After I convinced the kids how much fun it would be to drive to the beach, I was grateful we didn't hit too much traffic on the way in. We went to Point Dume to avoid the crowds at Zuma.

Aidan spent almost the entire time watching the waves crash in.

Theodore spent a lot of time gleefully letting his legs slide apart on the slippery sand.

Will had an accident early on and didn't really feel up to playing (he was so excited to put his feet in the surf and then while watching the waves recede got very dizzy and fell straight forward into the wet sand right on his face.) We got him feeling better by the end, but then it was time to go.
My main achievements were a.) getting to the beach. b.) making it home in 1 1/2 hours during rush hour on a Friday.
