We ended the night strolling in Central Park, enjoying the mist and the fireflies (or lightning bugs). I had never seen them before. They look like they have little light bulbs at the end of their bodies. It was a very cool night. The carnival area of the park reminded John of the movie The Lost Boys. I found it much less creepy.
